James Dower was raised
in Marlboro, Massachusetts, and attended Boston's Berklee College of Music, where he majored in Film Scoring. In
2005, James relocated to New York City, where he now resides with his girlfriend, artist Kim Glanze and their Lhasa Apso 'Nina'. A pianist and composer,
James has written music for film and television that has been played on MTV's "Cribs" as well as in NASCAR promos
and independent films. James has traveled the world and performed as a professional sideman to the stars, on stage and television
with popular artists such as Sam 'Soul Man' Moore, Sting, Elvis Costello, Ne-Yo, Wynonna and a long list of others.
James
has recently contributed keyboard tracks for several local and national acts including: Dr. Sparkles, Alyssa Jayson and Ivan
'Funkboy' Bodley.
In late 2009, James released his CD of solo piano music 'Reinvention',
and is presently working on another full-length CD of original music.
