
James Dower - BIO Pianist James Dower has performed alongside several of his idols and favorite artists in the music business since moving from Massachusetts to New York City in the Fall of 2005. Performances on television shows such as 'The Late Show with David Letterman', 'The Charlie Rose Show', 'The Today Show' and 'Emeril Live' have garnered James a reputation for a high level of professionalism and have made him a highly sought-after sideman to the stars. James has toured with and performed on television with such diverse artists as: Sam Moore, Sting, Wynonna, Ne-Yo, Travis Tritt, Blood Sweat & Tears, Jo Dee Messina, Lorrie Morgan, Ola Onabule, Richard Street and the Temptations and Maxine Nightingale. A tour with ex-Savage Garden frontman Darren Hayes occurred in 2002. A professional keyboardist and composer, James studied at Boston's Berklee College of Music, majoring in Film Scoring. Upon graduating, James' idol Billy Joel presented him with his Bachelor's Degree. As a touring musician and professional sideman, James offers his services not only on keyboards, piano and Hammond organ, but also as a guitarist, singer and musical director. As a professional composer for Film and Television, James has supplied music for Los Angeles based library music publishing companies, written for made-for-video documentary projects as well as co-written a theme song used by NASCAR for their truck racing series. |
